Most of the area between the cafe and Caladisi is covered by underwater beds of seagrass.  In this grass lurks the seatrout, always ready to pounce on a shrimp or small baitfish that swims into the open. The dependable trout is the bread and butter of anglers of the grass flats, but trout that grow to more than twenty-five inches, also known as gator trout, becomes a much more challenging target.
